Where to Donate or Sell Baby Items in Fargo-Moorhead

When you first had your baby, you probably bought all of the ‘must-have’ items: highchairs, walkers, strollers, cute outfits, and more! And now that the kids are growing up, these things are simply collecting dust in storage.

If you’re looking for a place to donate baby items, here is a list of where to go in Fargo-Moorhead!

*Many of these places request that you wash the clothes you wish to donate. Please also check baby gear/toys to make sure pieces aren’t broken or missing.

NOTE: With donation guidelines changing regularly, please contact the business or organization before you donate your items. 

Non-Profit Organizations

Birthright Fargo-Moorhead

Donation Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Accepts ONLY: Gently-used baby clothing and supplies. Please contact them to ensure they are accepting specific items.

How your donation helps: Birthright supports women as they navigate unplanned pregnancies by providing information, referrals, and resources.

Caring Closet at First United Methodist Church

906 1st Ave S (Fargo) | (701) 232-4416

Donation Hours: Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Accepts ONLY: Kids clothes and shoes, newborn to teen (all sizes).

How your donation helps: They assist local families in need by providing children’s clothes.

Down Home

2102 12th St N (Fargo) | (701) 532-1488

Donation Hours: Contact Down Home about the item(s) you have to donate before bring them in.

Accepts ONLY: Furniture and decor in good condition.

How your donation helps: Down Home furnishes apartments for families coming out of homelessness.

Open Doors 65

213 NP Ave (Fargo) | (701) 799-7550

Donation Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:00 – 2:30 p.m.

Accepts ONLY: Household items, clothing, and shoes.

How your donation helps: They provide donations to people in need.

The Perry Center

2355 Meadow Ridge Parkway (West Fargo) | (701) 241-9289

Donation Hours: Please call for current needs and to set up a donation time.

Accepts ONLY: Gently-used baby clothes, blankets, and strollers (see their full needs list here). Please call ahead to ensure they are accepting donations.

How your donation helps: Items are provided to pregnant mothers at their residential program.

YWCA Cass Clay

3000 University Dr S (Fargo) | (701) 232-3449

Donation Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (ring the buzzer)

Accepts ONLY: YWCA is now only accepting donations of urgently needed items. All other used goods can be delivered to their partner, Savers Thrift Store.

How your donation helps: The YWCA provides safety, support, and hope to families.

 

Consignment Stores

Once Upon a Child

2551 45th St S (Fargo) | (701) 282-5222

Hours: Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Buys: Gently-used children’s clothes sizes preemie to youth 20, shoes, toys, furniture, and baby gear. A store employee reviews your items and makes an offer based on style, safety, and condition standards. If you accept the offer, they pay cash at that time.

Kinder Kloset

745 45th St S Ste A (Fargo) | (701) 277-1211

Hours: Used items in person every Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Also by appointment (Call or message on Facebook to schedule). Kinder Kloset limits items to two totes on a non-Wednesday.
