1. Heritage Hills Park • 700 Heritage Circle, Fargo
This tucked away park in very south Fargo is such a hidden gem! Tall grasses sway, wildflowers are still in bloom, and the trees are starting to turn in late September. It’s a g great spot to capture those Fall photos in Fargo!
2. Lions Conservancy Park • 1221 El Cano Dr, Fargo
This quiet park in South Fargo really highlights the natural beauty of our area. The most rustic site on the list in terms of offerings, Lions Conservancy Park is nestled along the Red River just off University Drive South in Fargo. If you’re not looking to completely venture into the “nature” of the park, you’ll find great settings close to the parking area like the small rustic brick amphitheater. Take the unpaved trails and explore the park to find a variety of picture perfect opportunities including tall native grasses, interesting trees, and river views.
3. Lindenwood Park • 1905 Roger Maris Drive
Lindenwood is perhaps one of the best spots to grab fall photos in Fargo. It’s centrally located, easy to get to, and has tons of space and bright trees to capture the perfect shot. Make sure to use the pedestrian bridge for some fun action shots, and even head across to Gooseberry Mound Park in Moorhead for some extra photos!
4. Oak Grove Park • 170 Maple St N, Fargo or Riverfront Park • 600 1st Ave N, Moorhead
Straddling the Red River, Oak Grove Park in Fargo and Riverfront Park in Moorhead showcase the beautiful river setting. The lift bridge that joins the parks makes for a great photo prop as well. The paved paths that wind through the tall oak trees make for charming autumn scenes.
5. Orchard Glen Park • 76th Ave S & the Red River, Fargo
The bonus with this photo shoot location is there are built-in snacks. This community orchard includes apples, plums, and pears that are free for the community to harvest. Depending on when you go, the fruit may be pretty picked over. If that’s the case, you’re still left with beautiful fall foliage as a backdrop. Rustic pathways connect this Orchard Glen Park to additional parks which makes this a perfect location for exploring.
6. Wildflower Grove Park • 9 Lower Terrace, Fargo
This tucked-away park is just east of downtown Fargo, located near the Red River. There are tons of open spaces for great photos, and plenty of trees to capture those fall colors.
