While we are ever so grateful for our kids getting all that delicious Halloween candy, sometimes it can feel a bit too much. Or, perhaps you bought a bit too much and didn’t have as many trick-or-treaters as planned. You’re in luck – here are all the places you can donate that extra Halloween candy in Fargo!
Where to Donate Extra Halloween Candy
Local Options
Ronald McDonald House
When a child is receiving medical care in town and families need a place to stay, the Ronald McDonald House is there to provide a home away from home. Candy donations can be used to share with families to brighten their day.
Box of Balloons
The Fargo branch of this non-profit provides birthday parties for kids that otherwise may not receive them. Candy donations will be used for goodie bags and other birthday treats for children. After Halloween they typically have donation spots set up, so please contact them for more information.
Spread Your Sunshine
If you’ve met Addie, you know she’s a bundle of sunshine to be around. She’s always on the move hosting an event or drive for people in our community, and she’s taking donations to put in stockings this holiday season for children they serve through her community efforts like Spread Your Sunshine. Contact them for pick-up!
Ask Your Dentist
Some local dental offices will take back candy to send to troops overseas or donate to other community non-profits. Check with yours to see if they do anything special!
