8 Summer Must-Haves for Moms

Summer must-haves.

Summer is here!

We’re making all the plans, writing up our summer bucket lists, and getting ready to make tons of fun memories.

Here are some must-haves to help you feel a bit more prepared, to make mom life a bit easier this summer!

Summer Must-Haves for Moms

1. A Wagon for All the Things

Summer must-haves: wagon. Us moms need something to carry ALL the things, including our children! A wagon is great for all of the summer baseball games, visits to the zoo, and many other activities.

This wagon has been a huge help for our family. Bonus: it has a canopy to provide some shade from the hot sun.

2. Sunscreen

Sunblock is a necessity for the summer season. And this sunscreen works well for lots of skin types!

I try to stash a bottle in every to-go bag that we bring to all of our activities.

3. Outdoor Blanket for Picnicssummer must-haves: picnic blanket.

From picnics at the park to snacks on the beach, this outdoor blanket is perfect to eat those meals on! Plus, it’s waterproof — great for unexpected rain or spills!

4. Portable Play Pen

For the littles who need to stay contained while you’re out and about, this mobile play pen is a must-have. You can bring everywhere! It includes an SPF cover to protect kids from the sun and you can use it in your home all year-round!

5. Reusable Bags/Containers

For all the snacks.

We are constantly on the go during summer and it’s nice to always have snacks or lunches, packed and ready to go! Reusable bags/containers are top notch to use. They provide for easy cleanup and are better for the environment.

There are a ton of reusable options out there as well. And if you want to support local, I know there are a lot of local makers and boutiques that also carry reusable items. Unglued, Vintage Point, and Kidderbug Kreations are a few of my favorite places to check out.

6. Easy to Slip on Sandals

Running to drop off for an activity? On the way to the local pool? Here are some comfy sandals to slip on to get there! With a platform design and a cushy footbed, these sandals are both fashionable and functional.

7. Water Fun for the BackyardSummer must-haves: water balloons.

It’s always a good idea to have water activities stocked up and ready for the extra hot summer days at home.

These water balloons are always a hit with my kids. They fill up quickly, so kids don’t need to wait long to begin the water fight!

Also, as a mom, I am always a fan of the children’s wading pools. Nothing wrong with sitting in the sun, reading a book, and dipping your toes in the water as the kids play.

8. A Water Bottle to Stay Cool Water bottle

With kids playing outside all day, staying hydrated is important. There are tons of different options out there for insulated water bottles, and lots of people have their own favorites.

These water bottles are a reasonable price, and do an excellent job keeping your beverage cool. Plus, there’s lots of space to personalize it with stickers!

These are just a few things to add to your shopping list this summer. And hopefully having these items on hand will make your summer run a little more smoothly.
