As moms, we put in the hours for our families, our jobs (inside and outside the home), and hopefully carve out a little alone time for ourselves. It never seems like there’s enough time for much else, especially a mom’s night out.

However, there is a special kind of natural high we get from bonding with our mom friends.
You know the feeling when you show up smiling, but internally you’re exhausted? Then the next thing you know you’ve lost track of time and are completely invigorated!
If it’s been a while since you’ve had that feeling, here’s your sign to schedule a moms’ night out! And here is some inspiration to get you started:

Mom’s Night Out Ideas in Fargo-Moorhead

For Active Friends

If you love to exercise, getting your sweat on before indulging in an app and a drink might be the outing of choice! Whether it’s de-stressing in downward dog during heated yoga or dangling upside down in an aerial class, check out this list of great options!

For Friends Who Love Games

Want to get a little competitive? Try out some gaming fun! Take the gals to an escape room, play vintage video games, or throw it back to your youth at an arcade. Or if watching sports is more your style, head to a Redhawks baseball game or a Fargo Force hockey game.

For Crafty Friends

If a seated activity is more your speed, consider flexing your creativity with some arts and crafts options. From painting and stained glass to ceramics and candle making, these options have any medium your crafty little heart desires.

For Fancy Friends

If you’re ready to trade in the sweats for something swankier, check out this list of options. Book your own event or keep an eye on restaurants like Maxwells and Luna who host great wine tastings!

For Cozy Friends

If going out at all sounds yuck, consider a “Favorite Things Party” at someone’s house. Set a budget, have each person bring enough of their favorite thing for each guest, and enjoy a night in sweats on the couch with your favorite gals! To add to the event, have everyone also bring a bottle of their favorite beverage.

Whatever works for your group, make it happen! You’ll never regret time spent with friends.

Katina Behm
Katina grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and played field hockey at the University of Connecticut, and has never been in as good of shape since. She met her husband, Justin, at a bar in Pittsburgh and, despite many romantic Skype dates, found a long-distance relationship to be a drag and moved to Fargo in 2010. She's a bonus mom to Justin's son, Owen (2005), and they have twins Augie and Delphi (2016) and two Great Danes, Rainy and Moose. She's a Speech-Language Pathologist & Certified Brain Injury Specialist who enjoys helping her patients improve their quality of life. She is also a Certified Sculpt Instructor at Mojo Fit Studios. Katina loves showing the world to her kids (but also seeing the world through their eyes), trying new foods, listening to live music and publicly mocking her little brother on Instagram. On most weekends, you can find her at one of her kids' many activities by day, and by night on the couch in sweats, eating a homemade charcuterie board and drinking cheap wine she bought at Costco. She still has Skype dates, but now they're with friends and family who live all over the place.
