Looking for a place where your kids can burn energy and you can sneak in some movement? The Fargo Parks Sports Center is one of those hidden gems that makes parenting feel just a little easier.
With plenty of space to play, walk, and gather, it’s a go-to spot for families looking to stay active, especially during those long North Dakota winters or rainy summer days.
Whether you’re a mom trying to get your steps in while your kids play, or simply looking for an easy outing that checks multiple boxes, the Fargo Sports Center offers fun, flexibility, and community all under one roof.
The Fargo Parks Sports Center
A Playful Escape for Kids
One of the biggest wins for parents is the indoor playground. Bright, colorful, and full of ways to climb, slide, and explore, it’s the perfect place for kids to expend energy when it’s cold or snowy outside.
Little ones can move, play, and make new friends, while parents enjoy the peace of knowing they’re in a safe, contained space. From climbing structures to open play areas, it’s a spot that keeps kids engaged and active year-round. Plus, head upstairs to find some fun, interactive screen games and a mini arcade!
Visits are just $5 per child, making it an easy yes for a spontaneous play day.

Turf Space That Works for Families
The Fargo Parks Sports Center’s turf and court areas aren’t just for organized sports, they’re also a great option for parents who want room to move. Moms can walk laps, stretch, or fit in light exercise while kids run around nearby. The soft, high quality turf is easy on joints and comfortable for all ages, making it a flexible space that works for real life with kids in tow. Check their open gym and turf schedule ahead of time on their website, and make sure to bring your own balls and equipment!
Walk, Jog, or Stroll on the Indoor Track
When icy sidewalks and strong winds make outdoor walks impossible, the indoor track is a lifesaver. It’s a warm, safe place to stay active without worrying about the weather.
Whether you’re pushing a stroller, walking alongside your kids, or simply trying to hit your daily step goal, the track makes movement feel manageable, even on busy days.
Fuel Up at the Concession Stand
No need to rush out when hunger hits, the Fargo Sports Center’s concession stand makes it easy to grab snacks, drinks, or a quick bite between activities.
Concessions are open in the fall, winter, and spring; hours are Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Birthday Parties Made Easy
Looking for a low-stress birthday party option that kids will actually love? The Fargo Parks Sports Center makes it easy to celebrate your child’s big day.
Whether you’re planning a high-energy, sports themed party on the turf or a fun filled free play session in the indoor playground, they provide the space you bring the fun.

To make things even easier, the Fargo Parks Sports Center also offers a birthday party catering menu, allowing parents to choose food options ahead of time and skip the stress of planning and cleanup.
It’s an active, exciting, and parent-approved way to celebrate your child’s milestones.

More Than Just a Facility
What truly sets the Fargo Parks Sports Center apart isn’t just its amenities, but the strong sense of community it creates for families.
The open lobby, with its welcoming seating and gathering spaces, gives parents a place to pause, chat, and connect while kids recharge between activities.
Whether you’re looking for a place to let your kids play, a safe spot to stay active through the colder months, or an easy outing that fits into real family life, the Fargo Parks Sports Center checks out all the boxes.
