Canadian Pacific Holiday Train | 3 Stops Within 1 Hour of Fargo

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train.
Back for its 25th year, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be making stops near the Fargo-Moorhead area!

The train will arrive in Detroit Lakes, MN on Thursday, December 14th at 2:30 p.m. and the show will run from 2:45 – 3:15 p.m at the Holmes Street railway crossing (near the Holmes Community Center).

Then on Friday, December 15th, the Holiday Train will reach Hankinson, ND at 6:30 p.m. with a showtime of 6:45 – 7:15 p.m. at the American Legion Parking Lot (122 1st Street, the Main Avenue railway crossing).

And also on Friday, December 15th, it will make a stop in Enderlin, ND at 9:05 p.m. with a show running from 9:15 – 9:45 p.m. at the CPKC Depot (101 Harvest Lane).

Other nearby spots (within 1-2 hours) include:

  • Mahnomen, MN (Thursday, December 14th at 4:20 p.m.)
  • Plummer, MN (Thursday, December 14th at 6:00 p.m.)
  • Thief River Falls, MN (Thursday, December 14th at 7:30 p.m.)
  • Elbow Lake, MN (Friday, December 15th at 4:15 p.m.)
  • Carrington, ND (Saturday, December 16th at 1:30 p.m.)

The Holiday Train will feature professional musicians playing live music and collecting donations for local food banks.

This event is all about families and communities getting together to celebrate the season and to help those in need.

Since this event started in 1999, Canadian Pacific has raised over $22.5 million and collected over five million pounds of food.

The shows are free. However, a cash or non-perishable food item donation is recommended.
