Where to Get Sleigh Rides in Fargo & Moorhead 2025

There’s just something nostalgic about sleigh rides at holiday time. And we’ve found all the spots you can get a sleigh ride or carriage ride in Fargo and Moorhead, pulled by real horses!

Check out one of these great events to book your ride today and feel all the holiday magic. Hurry, they book quickly!

Sleigh Rides in Fargo & Moorhead 2025

Cookies with the Claus Family

Date: Friday, November 28th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Cost: Free!

How to Book: This event is free to attend!

Other Details: Enjoy other fun activities like meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, cookie decorating, face painting, bouncy houses, holiday art project, and holiday treats!

Santa Village at Rheault Farm

Dates: Carriage rides are offered from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. only on the following dates: November 29-30, December 6-7, December 13-14, December 20-21.

Cost: $2.50 per person

How to Book: Santa Village is free to attend, and you can get tickets for the carriage rides inside at the concession stand during their operating hours.

Other Details: Hot cocoa and snacks can be purchased inside at the concessions. Other activities are available at Santa Village (cookie decorating, crafts and games/play, visiting Santa & Mrs. Claus). During the evening hours/dark there are lights on at Rheault Farm, so this is a recommended time to go!

A Very Merry Market at The 44 Venue (Colfax, ND)

Dates: November 29th from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Cost: An activity band for kids under 18 is $10, Children 2 and under as well as adults are free!

Other Details: Other activities include crafts, s’mores and fire pits, cocoa, cider, and coffee, holiday photos, Santa visit, live piano music, and more.

Christmas on the Prairie at Bonanzaville

Dates: December 6th from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Cost: Adults are $6, kids ages 6-18 are $3, and kids 5 and under are free. Purchase a family pass (family of 4) for $15!

How to Book: Just attend the event! More details here.

Other Details: Enjoy free photos with Santa and make calls to the North Pole. Plus crafts, roast marshmallows for s’mores, and cocoa. The village will also be filled with historic demonstrations.

Buffalo River Festival of Lights

Dates: Open Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays from November 28th – December 31st from 5:00 – 11:00 p.m.

Cost: Adults are $12, kids ages 6-18 are $8, and kids under 6 are free.

How to Book: Just attend the event!

Other Details: Walk through beautiful light displays, enjoy s’mores and cocoa, visit Santa, and get a sleigh ride!
