Berry-Picking Farms Near Fargo

Summer time is near, and now more than ever we are spending time outdoors. Berry-picking season starts soon, so why not load up the family and head out of town for a new adventure? We’ve compiled a list of the berry-picking farms near Fargo within 2 hours of the area!

Find one of the farms below to pick strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and some other variteies of u-pick berries. Happy picking!

Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley

Located just outside of town in North Moorhead, this local CSA farm offers u-pick strawberries during late June/early July. Picking is first come, first serve, and takes place on the farm at 7426 40th Street N, Moorhead, MN. Days are Thursdays in June through September. Visit their website to updated growing and picking seasons!

Jayne’s Organic Aronia U-Pik

Located 25 minutes from Fargo in Armenia, ND, Jayne has u-pick aronia berries ready for picking in September. Please see her Facebook page for updates and picking times.

Ohe’s Outpost

Just 50 minutes away near Erhard, MN, Ohe’s Outpost offers strawberries mid-June to mid-July, pre-picked or pick your own. They also offer fresh-baked treats, farm-raised beef, and fresh sweet corn. Please call (218) 842-5243 ahead for hours and availability on products.

Carter’s Red Wagon Farm

Located 1 ½ hours from Fargo in Park Rapids, MN, Carter’s Red Wagon Farm has u-pick strawberries ready for picking in late June or early July (crop readiness is dependent on weather and crop conditions).

Otter Berry Farm

Located 1 ½ hour from Fargo in central Minnesota, Otter Berry Farm has u-pick strawberries usually ready in mid- to late-June. For more information, please call their Berry Line at (218) 346-5034 or check their Facebook Page for picking conditions and updates.

First Fruits Blueberry Farm

Located 90 minutes from Fargo in Menahga, MN, First Fruits has u-pick blueberries ready mid-July. Please see their Facebook page for the latest updates and picking dates/times.

Country Blossom Farm

Located 1 hour 40 minutes from Fargo in Alexandria, MN, Country Blossom Farm has u-pick strawberries ready in late June and u-pick raspberries in later summer. Please see their Facebook page for the latest updates and contact to scheduling a picking time.

Berry Ridge Farm

Located 1 hour 40 minutes from Fargo in Alexandria, MN, Berry Ridge Farm has u-pick blueberries ready in July and raspberries ready in August. Please see their Facebook page for the latest updates and contact to scheduling a picking time.

Walker’s Country Gardens

Located 1 hour 50 minutes from Fargo in Villard, MN, Walker’s Country Gardens has fresh strawberries to pick on select days in June and July. See their Facebook page for updates. 

Ter-Lee Gardens

The Honeyberry Farm

Located 2 hours from Fargo in north central Minnesota near Bagley, The Honeyberry Farm has a variety of berries for you to pick yourself! Honeyberries, cherries, raspberries, elderberries, and more!
