Celebrating New Year’s Eve can look a bit different than when we were younger.

Rather than going out and staying up until the wee hours of the morning, some of us might even struggle to make it to midnight!

But ringing in the new year with the family is fun in its own right.

Here are some family-friendly New Year’s events in Fargo and Moorhead where you can bring the whole family and celebrate the new year with your nearest and dearest! Plus some more ideas for celebrating with kids.

New Year’s Eve Events in Fargo for Families 2025

Happy Blue Year: A Bluey Noon Year’s Eve Party!

Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Location: Fargo Public Library-Main

Ring in the New Year with Bluey and Friends – before bedtime! Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of giggles, games, and good times at our “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration inspired by everyone’s favorite blue heeler – Bluey! Perfect for young fans (ages birth to 5) and their families, this daytime event is packed with crafts, music, dancing, and a special countdown to “midnight” at noon with confetti and cheers.

“Noon Year’s Eve” Celebration

Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Location: West Fargo Public Library

Join us for a daytime New Year’s Eve celebration at the library, complete with treats, party hats, crafts, lots of fun, and a countdown to the “noon” year. This event is free and open to the public. Fancy dress outfits are encouraged, but not required.

Noon Year’s Eve Party 

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Location: Moorhead Public Library

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with your child without having to wake them up at midnight! The Moorhead Public Library will offer a “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration including crafts, activities, and a balloon drop at noon! This program is geared for youth ages 10 and under.

Broadway Square Open Skate

Time: 12:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Location: Broadway Square, Downtown Fargo

Hit up the rink under the Broadway Square Christmas Tree! Lace up your skates and enjoy this festive spot before you ring in the new year.

New Years Eve PNI at Fargo All Stars

Time: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Location: Fargo All Stars Gym

Looking for a fun evening for the kids while you get a night out on the town or at home?
We’ve got you covered! Drop the kids off for a night of fun, crafts, and activities while you enjoy some well-deserved “me” time.
