Every day can be a version of Taco Tuesday, if you know where to look! Here is a list of my favorite places to grab tacos locally and why I love them!
Best Tacos in Fargo & Moorhead
Vinyl Taco
Serving up street tacos, the most amazing molcajete you’ve ever laid eyes on, and deliciously creative margaritas, this restaurant in downtown Fargo is a must go-to on my list.
Their atmosphere is relaxed with vinyl records playing, a cool interior, and a cozy atmosphere both inside and outside. My personal favorites are the guac & chips, cilantro lime chicken taco, crispy chicken & mango taco, and the shrimp a la parillo.
Please note that this is an adults-only establishment.
Mas Tequila
The dressed up version of its sister restaurant, Plaza Azteca (also amazing!). I love sitting on their patio and enjoying a specialty drink while trying a new type of guacamole. Their service is impeccable and recommendations on point. You can find my husband ordering many birria tacos and I get the tiger shrimp tacos.
El Vaqueros
A little known gem I was introduced to last fall, they are tucked away on 13th Ave S. With a choice of 11 different meats, you can’t go wrong with making a taco to your liking. Simple and homey — these tacos hit the spot!
Soul Taco Food Cart
My absolute favorite food cart to find in the summer whether it’s at the Street Fair, Red River Market, or downtown on a weekend. It’s an absolute deal to try any three for $10 and you will NOT be disappointed. I am partial to eating as many of the Caribbeans as I can, while my husband enjoys the surprise of the Rush Hour.
Honorable mention is Sol Ave in Moorhead — you will find perfectly sized and delicious street tacos on their menu six days a week. I am partial to their pork belly and Korean beef flavors, and I’m looking forward to trying their mushroom also!
I love the incredible variety of tacos you can find in the Fargo area, each with their own twist on street tacos and flavors.
