Our 5 Favorite Must-Have Back to School Products

Thanks to our partners at SCHEELS for sponsoring this article. All opinions are our own!

The weather is still hot, but we are just a short week away from the kids heading back to school! There are so many shopping lists needed for back-to-school, and we wanted to share our favorites to help you cross some items off your list.

Thanks to our partners at SCHEELS, we were able to find all these items in one place, plus find a variety so each kiddo can pick what they want (because they simply can’t match their sibling, right?).

5 Favorite Back-to-School Products

  1. Cozy Fleece

I know, when it’s 80 degrees out it’s hard to think about fleece. But we all know how quickly that cool weather comes around and a cozy fleece jacket is perfect for Fall at the bus stop or recess!

Zip-up styles are truly the best and easiest, and with reliable brands like Columbia, The North Face, and Patagonia you’ll find a jacket that will last all the outside play time for both girls and boys. If a pullover is more your style, my girls have loved these fun designs to keep them warm in cool weather. There are so many options for every budget and style!

2. Personalized Water Bottle + Stickers

With a water bottle on the required school supply list (and the fact it gets used all day every day!) it’s important to find a durable one that won’t fall apart. My kids love these Hydroflask bottles since they get to pick the color they want and they have an easy spout for younger kids to drink from (no lids to unscrew!). This one from CamelBak is also a tried and true favorite and a great price point.

Plus, we added to the fun by letting them pick out a fun sticker to personalize it!

3. The Right Shoes

Even if your kids haven’t grown in clothing sizes much since last year, new shoes are a MUST for back-to-school. With regular gym classes, sports, and recess, it’s important to keep their little (or big!) feet supported and comfortable.

Slip-on shoes seem to be all the rage, and my young kids love opting for this style right now over lace-up. We are also a huge fan of Crocs in our household! If you are partial to a specific brand, the shoe experts at SCHEELS will help you find what you need. Our friendly associate helped us navigate trying on countless pairs of shoes until we found the perfect fit!

4. Insulated Lunch Box + Reusable Silverware back to school

If you’re opting to send lunch with your kiddo this year (reminder, school lunches aren’t free anymore!) a good insulated lunchbox is a must! Our favorite is L.L. Bean (my kids have had theirs for 6 years), and we added this awesome reusable silverware set (hint: it’s in the camping section) so our kids had an easy way to bring home their used utensils.

5. Socks for Every Foot

Along with shoes, new socks are a must for back-to-school! Thanks to our wonderful contributor Alexis, I learned the genius idea of having a different brand for each kiddo. This changed our laundry game for the better! Now I know which sock pair is for which kid, instead of just blindly throwing them in each hamper. Game changer!

SCHEELS makes it easy to shop back-to-school products through their Back-To-School Guide! We love finding the brands we love that will stand the test of time, and the customer service, returns, and price matching at SCHEELS keeps us coming back.
