Favorite Summer Popsicle Recipes

Of the many snacks served in my home, summertime popsicles might be the most requested.

There’s nothing better than cooling off on a hot day with a tasty frozen treat! Also, making the popsicles is easy and a great way to involve children.

These recipes don’t require many ingredients and popsicle molds can be easily found online or in many stores. I prefer the silicon molds because they make popsicle removal easiest.

These are two of my go-to popsicle recipes for the summer:

Summer Popsicle Recipes

Red, White, & Blue Popsicles

These are perfect for the 4th of July!

Ingredients:

  • ½ lb fresh strawberries, with the tops removed
  • 1-2 cups vanilla yogurt (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1-2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 tsp maple syrup

*Please note: the exact amounts might vary, depending on the size of your popsicles.

Instructions:

  1. Puree strawberries in a blender with 1 tsp maple syrup. Pour the strawberry puree into the base of the popsicle mold, which should fill about ⅓ of the mold and freeze for about 30 minutes.
  2. Next add the vanilla yogurt over the strawberries so it spans the middle third of the mold. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  3. The final layer consists of pureed blueberries with 1 tsp maple syrup over the top of the popsicle mold. Once all the molds are filled, stick in the freezer for another 3-4 hours so everything is fully frozen, then enjoy!

Peaches & Cream Popsicles

Enjoy the orange creamy goodness of this easy-to-make recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sliced peaches (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half-and-half

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until mostly pureed.
  2. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze until frozen.
