Oak Grove’s Mission
The mission of Oak Grove Lutheran School is to express God’s love by nurturing students for academic achievement, lifelong Christian commitment and loving service throughout the world.
Students in preschool through grade 5 attend the south campus, while grades 6-12 attend their north campus.
Kjos Early Learning Center
Students can begin their Oak Grove journey at the Kjos Early Learning Center. Their program facilitates each child’s learning in all developmental areas including cognitive, social and emotional, physical, language and literacy, and spiritual. Teachers focus both on learning and the social-emotional development of each child.

Strong Academics
Oak Grove has maintained accreditation since 1926, achieving standards of excellence by the State of North Dakota, meeting 100% of all state standards for academic programming.
Their students score 30% higher in the top categories for Math, Science, and ELA when compared to local, state, and national scores on standardized tests.
In addition, dual Credit classes are available for high school students through North Dakota State University, Concordia College, and Valley City State University with over a dozen course options.

Service to others is an important part of the Oak Grove experience. 100% of students at all grade levels have an intentional focus on servant leadership through mission outreach and yearly service projects. Their school community works to give back and live out faith through meaningful projects and activities. Leadership and volunteerism are nurtured through involvement in local events and global organizations.
Small Class Sizes
Enrolling more than 750 students, Oak Grove optimizes classroom size to ensure individual attention and to maintain student to teacher ratios around 14:1. In addition, International programming welcomes students from around the world to broaden cultural diversity and worldview.

Extracurriculars at Oak Grove
High levels of participation are encouraged at all grade levels!
25+ extra and co-curricular activities, clubs, and organizations are available across age ranges to offer a wide variety of experiences, starting in kindergarten.
Elementary Age
At the elementary school, athletic opportunities range from camps to school sponsored sports. After school extracurriculars allow students to build relationships and get involved with activities such as board game club, math club, art club, Lego club, and BIO Girls.
Additionally, students can choose from many fine arts programs. The school’s theater program is the only K-12 program in Fargo-Moorhead. The productions engage hundreds of students in four shows each year. Other fine arts opportunities at the elementary level include piano, hand chimes, and choir.

Middle & High School
The high school and middle school are home to successful athletic teams with multiple state appearances and state titles. The thriving performing arts programs feature performance, leadership, and technical opportunities with a variety of choir and band ensembles, One Act Play, as well as Theater Tech and Debate Classes. Club activities include trap shooting, fishing, and e-sports.

Christian-Based Foundation
A culture of respect, kindness, compassion, and purpose are at the foundation of Oak Grove. Daily chapel and Christian Studies classes give students the freedom to learn about Christianity, develop their personal beliefs, and solidify a foundation in faith.
60 different churches and 20 different faith backgrounds are represented in the student body. Students can participate in Bible studies, mission trips, and ministry nights.

Oak Grove Tuition Aid & Scholarships
Tuition assistance totaling over $700,000 is awarded each year to families in kindergarten to grade 12 with nearly one-quarter of the assistance amount awarded in the form of grants and work study. Merit-Based Scholarships are offered to students in grades 6-12 and are awarded annually in addition to tuition aid.
