A bee-ginner’s class to learn the basics about beekeeping with demos, hives, suits, tools, and more!
Join us as Bradley Munsterteiger of the Minnesota Hobby Beekeepers Association demonstrates some tools of the trade, including:
- Observation hive (with live bees!)
- Pictures
- Suits and tools
- Helpful books on the subject
- and more!
You will learn about bee types; how to get started keeping bees in your backyard; how to open a colony and keep records; honey flow, and integrated pest management.
This program is free of charge and open to all ages.
