About our Herb Classes:
Herbs, used through the centuries for aroma, health, beauty and taste are now at Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society! Come visit our herb garden – and if you want to know more, taste test, and have fun learning about them – come join us for our monthly herb classes! Herb classes are held in the Yunker Farmhouse (1201 28th Ave N, Fargo, ND), next door to our botanic garden. All classes will be educational and hands-on and will include history of herbs, tastings, teas and recipes. Cost is $20 per person and classes are limited to 20 participants. Proceeds from this event benefit the growth of NPBGS.

About this Class
Bountiful Basils: If you are only familiar with Italian basil, come learn about the many others that offer lots of culinary potential! We grow 6 different and unique basils in the garden and each will be featured in recipes to taste and take home. Other than the well known Italian basils (of which there are many) other tasty basils include lemon basil, lime basil, cinnamon basil, Thai basil and Holy Basil, also known as Tulsi, a revered herb for centuries. They all have quite an interesting history to match their unique flavors!
