Nothing else quite symbolizes the beginning of harvest as those iconic sunflowers fields blooming throughout the valley. Whether you grew up on a farm or not, the beauty of sunflowers near Fargo in August is something to see (and if you’re lucky, snap some photos in!).

Thanks to ND Tourism Department and some thorough research, we’ve rounded up the closest sunflower fields (within 2 hours) where visitors are allowed! Please keep in mind that many of these fields are private farms, so please do not pick sunflowers or walk into the sunflower field, be respectful of the property, and pick up any trash.

IMPORTANT: Sunflowers bloom quickly and peak in August, so check the ND Tourism website to find the most recent bloom information before you plan a visit.
