The YMCA of the Northern Sky (formerly YMCA of Cass & Clay Counties) is on the move this Fall with a brand-new YMCA childcare and learning center located behind SCHEELS Arena. We got a sneak peek inside during their ribbon-cutting ceremony, and were blown away by the facility.
Designed with Kids in Mind
Everything is designed with kids (and parents!) in mind. Some of our favorite features include:
- 2 indoor gyms (including a soft-play gym just for toddlers).
- Two outdoor playgrounds.
- A large outdoor classroom.
- Bins to keep infant carriers (no more hauling back and forth!).
- No-pinch doors to keep little hands safe.
- A free book library.
- Small classrooms, each equipped with age-appropriate play opportunities and beautiful wooden toys and structures.
- Interactive fidget toys along the walls.
- Large classroom designed for before and afterschool care.
The new YMCA Learning Center provides full-time care for ages six weeks through age 5, as well as before school, afterschool, and summer care for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade. It’s one of FOUR YMCA Early Learning Centers and 20+ School Age Learning Centers throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area!
Currently Enrolling!
The new center is currently enrolling 4-year-olds, and offers a sliding-fee scale based on income. Infant and toddler spots are currently full, but you can inquire about their waitlist options.
