Feeding Frenzy Oceanarium Experience*

Step behind the scenes for an exclusive look at what it takes to care for the oceanarium’s incredible marine residents. This guided experience follows a typical feeding routine, giving participants a close-up view of animal care in action. You’ll learn how specialized diets are prepared, discover fun facts about the species in our care, and a lucky few will have the chance to assist in feeding select animals. It’s an immersive, hands-on adventure perfect for anyone curious about life beneath the waves.

Stars to Starfish JR Planetarium Experience

Join us for our exclusive fulldome feature: Stars to Starfish JR! In this immersive underwater and space adventure, we join Starry the Starfish and Red the Lobster as they compare the exploration of our universe with the exploration of our Earth’s oceans. This program underscores the importance of our home’s last great resource.

Afterward, we will take a cosmic tour through our own night sky as we see it from right here in Moorhead. We will find some familiar constellations you can go out and look for yourselves!

Schedule:

8 am – Feeding Frenzy in the Oceanarium

The Oceanarium is located in the basement of Langseth Hall, room 005.

Head there first to get your hands-on experience with the residents of the only Oceanarium in the area!

9 am – Wrap up at Oceanarium, start heading toward the Planetarium

The Planetarium is located on the first floor of Bridges Hall, room 167.

9:30 am – Show time at the Planetarium

Sit back, relax, and be taken away to the depths of the ocean and the far reaches of space!

10:30 am – Program end. Thank you for coming, and be sure to come back soon!
