Event Series Event Series: Ready to Read Storytime Summer Session

Ready to Read Storytime Summer Session

June 24 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

On Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings this summer, kids ages 3 to 5 are invited to read, play, and create with us during Ready to Read Storytime. During this storytime hour, children and caregivers participate in activities that reinforce early literacy skills through reading, playing and creating in a safe and encouraging space. Reading, singing, talking, writing, and play are the focal points of these storytimes. These early literacy fundamentals encourage growth in language development, vocabulary, social skills, and creativity, which helps to foster a positive connection to independent reading and exploration of learning.

*Ready to Read Storytime sessions are free and open to the public; however, due to limited space in the children’s corner, families are encouraged to attend only one session each week. The content is the same at both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Younger readers are invited to Teeter Tots Storytime on Thursday mornings or Baby Boost Storytime on Friday mornings. Learn more about Storytimes.
