1. Northern Air Action Park

Go-karts, axe throwing, laser tag, and a trampoline park are just a few of the thrilling attractions at Northern Air Action Park!

This park offers several different packages to cater to everyone’s individual interests.

It’s your one-stop destination to play games, get active, and create lasting memories!

2. The Greenway

This 2,200-acre stretch of land was primarily intended for flood protection, but the open natural space makes this area a popular destination for hiking, camping, swimming, fishing, golfing, and more!

In the winter months, the Greenway is a popular spot for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, and ice skating.

3. Heritage Village

A visit to the Heritage Village is like stepping back in time. This historic village is home to pioneer buildings, educational programs, and presentations that represent the region from the late 1800s to early 1900s.

The property is open 24/7 for visitors to walk around the outside of the buildings at their leisure, or you can call to schedule a tour.

Be on the lookout for Heritage Days, typically held in August. During this event, guests can enjoy steam engine threshing machines, museum displays, and special demonstrations.

4. Sherlock Forest Playground

If you’re seeking a place to let little ones burn energy, then head to Sherlock Forest Playground in East Grand Forks.

This expansive play area houses classic playground equipment and interactive elements in a truly unique setting.

It was designed with the assistance of local junior architects and community members. Their combined efforts culminated in this charming and distinctive community staple.

5. Elks Park, Pool, and Spray Park

If you’re looking for fun in the sun, head over to Elks Park! Cool off in the outdoor swimming pool or spray park and refuel at the concession stand.

Kids can also get active at the playground or football and softball fields.

6. Town Square Ice Rink

In the winter months, ice skating at the Town Square Ice Rink is a must! You’ll be surrounded by dazzling Christmas lights as you twirl and spin on the ice.

Rentals are not available, so you will need your own skates handy. However, Skate Helpers are available onsite and free to use for beginner skaters.

7. Butterfly Garden and Native Prairie Grassland

Nature lovers will appreciate a visit to the Butterfly Garden at Central Middle School.

This 25,000 square foot area is home to various plants, trees, and flowers specifically chose to attract butterflies and other pollinators.

There is also a 30-acre expanse of native prairie grassland replete with wildflowers and native grasses. This East Grand Forks location is perfect for photography and birdwatching enthusiasts, or those just wanting to relax and get in touch with nature.

8. Splasher’s of the South Seas Waterpark and Arcade

If you need a place to stay and play while visiting Grand Forks, consider Canad Inns! Here, you’ll find the city’s largest indoor water park and arcade.

Whether you’re jetting down the waterslides, relaxing on the lazy river, or playing games at the arcade, you can easily spend an entire day at Splashers of the South Seas.

And the best part — you don’t have to be a guest to enjoy these facilities! Passes can be purchased for daily use.

The hotel is also connected to the Alerus Center, making it an ideal location if you are planning to attend a concert or football game at the event venue.
