Holiday baking season is upon us! Here are some holiday and Christmas cookie recipes that are great for a cookie exchange, for friends, family, co-workers, or to just eat yourself!

These sweet, buttery cookies are made using a cookie press and the eggs in the recipe help them to hold their shape. Similar to sugar cookies and shortbread, these are fun, little, easy-to-make European cookies.

These classic holiday cookies are so fun to decorate and kids can really get creative with the frosting! Molasses is the key ingredient in any gingerbread recipe and these can be as soft or as crispy as you like.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Great for Christmas or any time! If you are on the search for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, give this recipe a try. The key ingredients are the large amount of brown sugar and just a hint of sea salt.
Peanut Butter Blossoms
This chocolate and peanut butter combo can’t be beat. These are great to round out any cookie platter. Soft, peanut-buttery, and easy to make.

So rich, tasty, and simple. And you don’t need to use the oven. These are a dream for Oreo-lovers and a great option for parties!
Christmas Cracker Candy
This recipe is as delicious as it is easy. Saltine crackers covered in chocolate and caramel. As a result, these candies are crispy, chocolatey, and full of caramel-y goodness. They are a great combination of sweet and salty, with the salt and crunch from the cracker and the sweetness of the coating.
Grinch Cookies

Pfeffernusse Cookies
Pfeffernusse Cookies

- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup black coffee ((instant coffee can be used))
- 3 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup honey
- 1 tsp salt
- 7 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp anise extract

In a large bowl cream together the sugar, shortening, black coffee, eggs, and honey. Beat until light and creamy.

Then add the salt, flour, baking soda, cloves and anise extract to the wet ingredients. Mix by hand until well combined.

Shape the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (while not 100% necessary, this step allows the flavors to really come together). Be sure to store in an airtight container.

When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350F.

Shape the dough into 1 inch balls. Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes and cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack.

Store the cookies in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
