Homeschool Zoo School

Bring learning to life at the Red River Zoo with our engaging Homeschool Zoo Classes, designed for ages 6–11 to spark curiosity and deepen understanding through real-world animal experiences. These educator-led classes combine hands-on activities, live animal observations, and interactive lessons in a setting where nature becomes the classroom.
Students will explore age-appropriate topics such as animal adaptations, habitats, life cycles, conservation, and the important role zoos play in protecting wildlife. Each class includes guided exploration of the zoo and opportunities to observe animals up close, helping learners connect classroom concepts to the living world around them.
Led by the Red River Zoo’s professional education team, Homeschool Zoo Classes align with educational standards while encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and respect for wildlife. Whether your learner is passionate about mammals, reptiles, birds, or ecosystems, these classes offer an enriching experience that blends education, exploration, and conservation.
Classes are offered at $35 per student for nonmembers and $32 per student for Zoo Members, with pricing including expert instruction and zoo access for the day. Ideal for homeschool families seeking hands-on, social, and meaningful learning opportunities, Homeschool Zoo Classes transform the zoo into an inspiring educational environment—where discovery happens at every turn.
