Join us as we welcome North Dakota author Patrick Springer for a presentation, book launch, and book signing for Untamed: The Story of the Wild Horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
A tale of survival, adaptation and independence, the book reveals their fascinating origin stories, with ancestors that include the horses surrendered by Sitting Bull’s followers after their exile in Canada. Some of these war ponies were later purchased by historical figures like the Marquis de Mores and contributed to the stock of North Dakota horse ranches. Springer will discuss his research and how this book came to be at this event for all ages. Copies of the books will be available for purchase at the event. For further details, contact Steve Hubbard at 701.241.1492.
