The weather is cooler and it’s time for layers, which means it’s leggings season!
Leggings are one of the most versatile pieces to have in your closet. Whether you have them in simple black or multiple colors, fancy prints or solids, faux leather or faux suede, there are lots of options to get you through the colder seasons.
They can be paired with a cute tunic, oversized sweater, or even a crop top sweatshirt. And worn with sneakers, wedges, or your favorite boots. With all of the styling options, you’ll want to have a few great pairs of leggings in your wardrobe!
Here are some great choices and where to find my favorite leggings in Fargo and online.
Favorite Leggings & Where to Find in Fargo
Spanx
I might as well start with one of the original best leggings, Spanx! Spanx come in a wide variety of colors, fits, and finishes. They also offer extra support in the tummy area, which as a mom is always welcome! I love their faux leather pairs and they also offer a faux suede option that is super cute.
I wear my Spanx for casual and also dressy looks, they are very versatile!
Spanx come at a higher price point, ranging from $70 – 140. And they come in sizes XS to 3X. These leggings are found in Fargo at Leela & Lavender and Evereve. You can also find a full range of style options on the Spanx website.
Commando
Another brand of leggings that can be both casual and dressy is Commando. Just like Spanx they come in a variety of colors and finishes, but they are most known for their faux leather leggings. And the Commando pair has is a little more stretch in their faux leather than the Spanx brand.
These leggings will also have a price point of around $100. They are available locally at Olive Street Boutique in West Fargo or Evereve in West Acres. And are available in sizes XS to 3X, and lengths petite to tall.
A New Day
If you’re looking for nice, faux leather or casual leggings in a more budget-friendly range, A New Day brand at Target is a great option. With colors and finishes to rival the more expensive brands, they are a good choice for a very nice legging at a lower price point. Some popular styles include their High Waist Moto Leggings and also Faux Leather Leggings.
A New Day leggings range in price from $20 – 40. They are available local Target stores or on the Target website in sizes S to 4X.
Teez Her
Teez Her is another brand at a great price point. The are super soft and thicker than other brands, which means absolutely no undergarments showing through! They also provide some stretch and compression. And they come in an assortment of colors and lengths that look great under tunics or dresses.
Teez Her leggings are priced around $45. These leggings are found in Fargo at Curvy Divas Boutique in the size range of XL to 3X and can also be found online.
Lululemon
My Lululemon leggings are my absolute favorite yoga legging, specifically the Align line. They are buttery soft, come in lots of colors and lengths, and are great for your tough workouts, for running errands around town, or just lounging during a night in.
These leggings come at a higher price point, anywhere from $100 – 120. Lululemon leggings (including the Align line) are available locally at the Lululemon store in West Acres in limited colors. You can find more colors and sizes on their website. They come in various lengths including knee-length to 31” long, and in sizes 0 – 20.
Old Navy
Old Navy is a fantastic option for both yoga and casual wear. Old Navy is owned by the same parent company as Athleta, and their leggings are the same quality as you will find in their more expensive sister store. Their athletic leggings come in a variety of colors and lengths, and are just as soft and high quality as the more expensive pairs but for a fraction of the price. Their casual pairs also come in a range of fabrics and colors.
Old Navy’s leggings vary in price from $15 – 50. They’re available locally at the Fargo Old Navy store or on the Old Navy website. They range in sizes from XS – 4X.
