Even when we aren’t consciously thinking about it\, our bodies feel it. \nHolding Humanity is a somatic breathwork healing circle devoted to remembering our shared humanity… beyond borders\, beliefs\, or identities and created as a place to process\, shed\, and soften what we’ve been carrying individually and collectively. This is a space to come back into your body\, your breath\, and your humanity. A space to soften\, grieve\, release\, and reconnect. \nThis collective healing experience invites you to tend to your inner world\, not as an escape from what’s happening\, but as a way to metabolize it so it doesn’t harden or overwhelm your nervous system. \nThrough somatic breathwork\, you’ll be supported to:\n-Release stored stress\, fear\, and emotional weight held in the body\n-Gently process collective grief\, overwhelm\, and uncertainty\n-Shift subconscious survival patterns that keep you in fight\, flight\, or freeze\n-Reconnect with your inner knowing and embodied wisdom\n-Contribute to collective healing by tending to your own nervous system \nWhether you’re feeling anxious\, numb\, heartbroken\, or simply worn down\, you are welcome here. \nWhat Is Somatic Breathwork?\nSomatic Breathwork is a body-based healing modality that uses an active\, rhythmic breathing pattern to guide you into an altered state of consciousness. This state quiets the analytical mind and allows access to the subconscious where emotions\, memory\, and stored experiences live.\nFrom this place\, the body is given space to safely release unprocessed emotions\, chronic stress\, and protective patterns shaped by personal and collective experience. DESCRIPTION:We all have stories to tell\, but we don’t all know how to tell them. Learn ways to share your stories\, real or fictional\, in this workshop just for teens with local author and writing instructor Sarah Beck. Learn about your writing strengths\, how to conquer blank page jitters\, organize your ideas\, gain confidence in writing\, and keep the momentum flowing!\nWorkshops are for teens ages 13-18. Pre-registration is required; registration is separate for each workshop. \nThen use what you’ve learned to polish your writing and submit it to Northern Narratives\, the Fargo Public Library’s creative writing project\, and your writing could be included in a published book! \nAbout the instructor: Sarah Beck\, a Fargo-based writer and writing instructor\, will lead two teen writing workshops on storytelling basics. Sarah is currently working on a climate fiction novel set in Fargo and is partnering with the Fargo Public Library through its Northern Narratives project to support teen voices. These workshops are supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts\, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts. \n\nAuthors & Writers / Registration Required / Teens
