DESCRIPTION:Littles and their grown-ups are invited to this station-based storytime session for little ones 18 months through 3 years\n\n\n\nTeeter Tots Storytime is a weekly storytime experience for those between the ages of 18 months to 3 years. This unique station-based storytime session is a simple and fun way to introduce your young\, energetic toddler to important early literacy skills that will help them succeed later in life. If your child is a little too advanced for our Baby Boost Storytime\, but not quite ready to join the “big kids” at Ready to Read\, this special storytime might be perfect for your family. \nDue to this program’s popularity\, we host Teeter Tots Storytime on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the summer months. Families are asked to please choose one session a week to allow other families to participate. Teeter Tots Storytimes is free and open to the public. DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to unleash your Monstrous Imagination? We’re thrilled to return to Forest River Park for an evening full of curious creatures! Join us Tuesday\, June 9 from 5:00–7:00 pm for Monstrous Imagination\, the kickoff to our summer-long nature monster series.\nJoin us for Monstrous Imagination\, an art-filled adventure where kids will pick a special monster egg and discover the tiny buddy waiting inside. With their new sidekick in tow\, they’ll embark on a self-guided scavenger hunt through the woods of Forest River Park\, exploring monster habitats and solving clues along the way. Their final stop is a treasure chest filled with monster gold. Show a coin to our staff and receive a monstrously cool prize.\nBefore or after your scavenger hunt\, stop by our craft station to get creative with a hands-on monster-themed project. While our clay monsters won’t be hiding at this event\, we’ve heard they’ve been spotted in other parks\, so keep your eyes peeled all summer long.\nPlease note\, Forest River Park is a heavily wooded area with natural trails and portable toilets\, but no permanent shelter or running water on site. Be sure to bring a water bottle\, sunscreen\, bug spray and of course\, your monstrous imagination!

Unlike years past\, public pets will not participate in the rescue showcase portion of the event. However\, community dogs are still encouraged to attend and will have the opportunity to participate in the Best Dog & Human Duo Contest later in the evening!\nThroughout the evening\, local rescue organizations will introduce adoptable dogs during a walkaround showcase while our DJ shares fun facts\, personality traits\, and adoption style bios about each pup.
