You might know that archaeologists look for old things by digging in the ground, but searching for historical artifacts is bit more complicated than just digging a hole. And what happens to the artifacts after they’re found? Kids in grades 4 to 6 can learn more about this fascinating field of study when we tour NDSU’s Archaeology Lab with Dr. John Creese, anthropological archaeologist and Associate Professor of Anthropology. Multiple sessions are available for kids and families, but space is extremely limited. Pre-registration is required and we ask that families minimize the number of adults attending to provide as many children an opportunity to participate as possible. Registrants will receive directions and additional information the day before the tours. This program is part of the Red River Valley Kids Read series of events.

Mar. 25: 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
